Warner Bros. Home Entertainment plans to kickoff 2022 with Catwoman: Hunted animated film in time to celebrate the iconic supervillain for her 80th birthday celebration.
At today’s DC FanDome 2021, voice actress Elizabeth Gillies, who voiced Catwoman, introduced the premiere trailer to fans and announced the rest of the 2022 animated film lineup from Warner Bros. Animation, CD, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
In an original story, Catwoman: Hunted is about Catwoman’s attempt to steal a priceless jewel that puts her squarely in the crosshairs of both a powerful consortium of villains and the ever-resourceful Interpol—not to mention Batwoman. It might just be enough to contain her this time. Or maybe not.
Gillies (Dynasty, Vacation) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, In The Heights) lead the voice cast as Catwoman and Batwoman, respectively. Other voice cast includes Jonathan Banks as Black Mask, Steve Blum as Solomon Grundy, Lauren Cohan as Julie Pennyworth, Keith David as Tobias Whale, Zehra Fazal as Talia al Ghul and Nosferata, Jonathan Frakes as King Faraday, and Boxx Moxie, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Kelly Hu as Cheshire, Andrew Kishino as Mr. Yakuza and Domino 6, Eric Lopez as Domino 1, Jacqueline Obradors as La Dama, and Ron Yuan as Doctor Tzin.
Shinsuke Terasawa (Gintama, Yo-kai Watch) directed the animation from a script penned by Greg Weisman (Young Justice, Gargoyles).
