Celeste Sully moved to Los Angeles to seek acting success.

Ironically, she co-stars in Netflix’s 1BR about a young woman, who seeks an apartment in Los Angeles.

Born and raised in Chicago, Sully is a method trained actor under the tutelage of Tony Greco. She graduated with a degree in biology and played Division I basketball at Lindsey Wilson College. Since moving to Los Angeles, she worked in television, film, commercials, and print. Some of her campaigns included Subway, National Car Rental, Nike, Dasani, CB2, and most recently with Kenra Professional’s Forward Momentum campaign.

As a biracial actress (Afro/Indo Guyanese mother and Irish/German father), she understands of utilizing her career as a platform for change. Recently, she was appointed as the head of membership and outreach for Caribena Creatives, an organization focused on stories and history of the Caribbean diaspora. Also, she is an active member of Women of Color Filmmakers (WOCF), an organization focused on supporting minority female filmmakers.

Celeste Sully stars alongside Nicole Brydon Bloom in the indie horror thriller 1BR that debut on the top 10 most watched on Netflix late August. The film is about a young fashion designer who moved into a new apartment in Los Angeles but discovers her neighbors are part of an intricated organization set in recruiting her. Sully plays Lisa, a co-worker who befriends her and welcomes her to Los Angeles.

Additionally, she had a recurring role as Tiffany in BET’s Second Generation Wayans, a show about the nephews of the famous Wayans brothers, Damien Dante Wayans and Craig Wayans, starting their own production company after struggling to a breakthrough in show business.

In 2015, she starred and produced an indie television series called Roommate(s) with Teri Benjamin. The series follows Kenney Malone (played by Sully) as an in-between-jobs actress—struggling to find a sane roommate in the insane world of Los Angeles.
