Elijah Boothe knew from his early childhood that he’s going places in the entertainment industry. Basically, he found his calling.

He auditioned for a role in the stage play The Lion King on Broadway at the age of ten. Although he didn’t get that part, this young actor booked roles in movies and television ever since. His biggest role was with Young Cottonmouth in Netflix’s Luke Cage series for the first season. He played the younger self of Cottonmouth, who was played by Mahershala Ali.

He worked with director Woody Allen on his new feature film A Rainy Day in New York alongside Selena Gomez. Other credits included roles in Netflix’s Coin Heist opposite Sash Pieterse, CBS’s Blue Bloods, and Golden Boy.

The young thespian landed leading roles in the indie darlings Pink Opaque and City. With those roles, he earned recognition and accolades from film festivals.

Also, he is an accomplished singer since he was a choir boy in church. He performed for the House of Parliament, Radio Disney, The Apollo Theatre, and sang the national anthem at the U.S. Open.

Currently, Boothe issued two new singles with “Eyes On Me” and “All My Lovin.” He plans on developing his first EP.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta sat down exclusively with Elijah Boothe via Zoom for a profile interview. We discussed his start and beginnings in the industry, his life goals, and balancing his entertainment career from music to television to movies.

Additionally, we discussed his latest projects with Pink Opaque (Now streaming on Amazon), City (Currently on the festival circuit). Not to mention, he talked about his life-changing experience on being part of the Netflix’s Luke Cage (Still available on Netflix).
