Chadwick Boseman Coy On Killmonger’s Potential Return For Black Panther 2

With the status of a whole host of Marvel character being currently, well, dead, I suppose it is difficult for the stars to talk about any future projects without giving the game away that they will be coming back. Perhaps the one they simply couldn’t hide is, of course, Spider-Man, seen as Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released this summer after Avengers: Endgame.

Another character we know will definitely be back is that of T’Challa aka Black Panther. After the crazy success of Black Panther in theaters, it’s unrealistic to think T’Challa won’t be back for a sequel but as yet nothing has been announced officially. When MTV News caught up with actor Chadwick Boseman and asked him whether Erik Killmonger would be back for the sequel, (something that’s been rumored for some time), here is Boseman’s response.

“I can’t speak on that, I can’t tell you what I think about it. If I tell you what I think about it, it would be revealing something.”

That’s a bit vague as you would expect and in no way conforms or denies that this is indeed the case. I have a hard time imagining in what capacity Killmonger could return that wouldn’t feel as if they forced him back in because he was well liked, but who knows? I certainly hope that if Michael B. Jordan does return as Killmonger in Black Panther 2, then it will not be as the main antagonist, though I guess we will just have to wait and see on that front.
