Chameleon rumored for Kraven the Hunter? According to a new report from The Illuminerdi, yes. The outlet says that Sony are looking for an actor right now to play Chameleon opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven. In the comic books, or certain runs anyway, Kraven and Chameleon were brothers, or half-brothers, I seem to recall.

Chameleon, as the name suggests has the ability to look like someone else. It’s a pretty handy ability to have as a villain of Spider-Man, though I’m less sure it works for Kraven. With his keen sense of smell, surely Kraven would not be fooled by Chameleon’s illusions? Here is what he outlet said.

While the lead casting proved to be a surprise to most, we still wanted to learn more about the project and we now know who Kraven will be going up against in his first solo film. Currently Sony Pictures is targeting an actor in their thirties to play the villain role of the Chameleon. While we don’t know if Chameleon will be the only adversary for Kraven, we do know that he will have a significant presence in the film.

This all sounds vaguely interesting. However, as I’ve said before, this Sony version of the MCU so far leaves me cold. I have almost no interest in Venom, Kraven or the upcoming Morbius. But hey that’s just me. If one of those movies ends up getting great reviews I’ll take a gander at it. However I won’t be making any theatre visits for the Sony low budget version of the MCU.
