Chariot Trailer Has John Malkovich Repressing A Patient’s Past Memories

Chariot starring John Malkovich

John Malkovich excels playing eccentric and unusual characters on screen. In the psychological thriller Chariot, Malkovich shines as a bizarre scientist operating on victims unknowingly in an experiment.

The film also stars Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel), Scout Taylor Compton (Halloween), Vernon Davis (Gasoline Alley), Chris Mullinax (Hell on the Border), and Shane West (A Walk to Remember). Adam Sigal directed and wrote the movie.

Here is the full synopsis:

In this dark and twisted thriller, John Malkovich stars as Dr. Karn, an odd, eccentric specialist who guides unknowing patients through the reincarnation transition. When Harrison (Thomas Mann) experiences mysterious recurring dreams, he turns to Dr. Karn for help and reveals his encounter with a woman (Rosa Salazar) he loved in a previous life. Noticing a glitch in the system, the doctor must fix the issue before permanently derailing his patient’s future.

Despite John Malkovich headling this project, it has a strong cast with Mann, Salazar, and Compton. The trailer reveals it to be a psychological thriller of someone trapped in a quasi-Matrix or dreamlike world. If anything, I would watch the movie to see John Malkovich with some hair—red hair nonetheless.

Chariot is in theaters, On Demand, and available digitally on April 15.
