Actor Charlie Cox, who plays the titular character in Netflix’s Daredevil participated in a Q&A session at Las Vegas Comic-Con, and while doing so expressed the desire for his character to team up with the teenaged web-slinger, Spider-Man.

“I have to be really careful here.  mean, I’m sure I can say this. And I’ll just preface it by saying that I can’t see how this would happen. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. But I have no information to suggest that this would ever happen. But it’d be really cool to see …I’d love to do something with Spider-Man.”

Daredevil is an excellent series, perhaps the best Marvel offering on Netflix. Perhaps one day Marvel will utilize the small screen universe they have built with shows like Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, and take those characters and make them part of the much bigger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though Marvel studio head Kevin Feige recently shot down rumors of Daredevil appearing in the Black Widow film.

The two heroes have teamed up before in the comics so there is a basis for Cox’s proposal. At this point, this is nothing more than a nice idea, but who knows what the future may hold for Marvel’s small screen heroes.
