Funimation’s Winter 2022 anime season slate is here! The Winter season lineup is bringing in some new and some popular returning anime coming out that you’ve been waiting for!
So for some new anime premiering, My Dress-Up Darling and Akebi’s Sailor Uniform will be released on January 8. Also, check out Tribe Nine and Sabikui Bisco on January 10. My Dress-Up Darling is a beautiful looking anime and the trailer shows some spice, but I’m not sure yet how spicy the series is going to go. I’m not a manga reader, so I don’t know and I’m not going to spoil it for myself. I’m curious about this one, though.
How A Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom Part 2
Suddenly summoned to a fantasy world and betrothed to the princess, Kazuya Souma is crowned the new king after providing the royal family with impressive advice. To rule the kingdom, he’s taking the nontraditional (and very human) route of administrative reform. In a realm of dragons and elves, will this revolutionary’s unique path prove effective?

Part 1 is already on Funimation so if you haven’t watched it yet, you’ve got time to catch up. Part 2 hits Funimation on January 8.
Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest Season 2
Transported to another world and left behind by his former friends, Hajime had to make his rise from literal rock bottom. It was in the labyrinth where he strengthened his weak magic and found several beautiful allies. Now after saving his classmates, he ventures for Erisen to escort Myu and her mother. He’ll fight and defeat anyone he has to in order to find a way home—including a god!
I’m currently watching Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and it’s really great. Arifureta has a similar plot so I want to give season 1 a try before season 2 is released. It’ll hit Funimation on January 13.
See Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 on January 9 and The Case Study of Vanitas Season 2 on January 14. Also, One Piece, Platinum End, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc will continue from the Fall 2021 anime season.
