Neill Blomkamp’s next sci-fi feature is almost upon us. The District 9 and Elysium director also co-wrote the film, entitled Chappie, and is once again looking to infuse a sci-fi adventure with headier ideas.

Check out the new poster for the film:

In the near future, crime is patrolled by an oppressive mechanized police force. When one police droid, Chappie, is stolen and given new programming, he becomes the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself.

Sharlto Copley is back for his third collaboration with Blomkamp. Copley, who had starring roles in the two previously mentioned films, is playing the titular character using motion capture technology. Hugh JackmanDev Patel, and Sigourney Weaver help round out the cast.

Chappie arrives in theaters on March 6.
