Check Out The Walking Dead’s Negan In Tekken 7

Fan favorite villain Negan and his trusty barbed wire bat Lucille have brought fear and violence to comic books, television and now video games. A few months ago Negan was teased as a playable character as part of Namco’s Tekken 7‘s season two pass. A few days ago Namco released our first look at the leader of the Saviors in action. You can check out the trailer above!

As you can see they take the infamous scene from Season 6, episode 16 of The Walking Dead titled, Last Day On Earth where Negan, played by Jeffery Dean Morgan made his presence felt by brutally beating one of the captives to death with Lucille. The scene then continues in the first episode of the seventh season, episode 1 titled, The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be.

Serving as Negan’s captives are fighters Craig Marduk, Armor King, Julia Chang, Lei Wulong and Anna Williams. But like we see in the trailer, these fighters don’t go down quietly, although Negan and Lucille shut it down by showing off their moves. In Tekken 7, he will be one of 43 different characters that players can choose from.

Tekken 7 is the ninth game in the Tekken series and the first to use the Unreal Engine that was released in March 18th, 2015. Negan’s first appearance was in the 100th issue of The Walking Dead which was released on July 11th, 2012 written by Robert Kirkman with artwork by Charlie Adlard. He then made his first appearance in that scene mentioned above in The Walking Dead show on AMC.
