Chucky’s back!
The cast and crew made a huge announcement at WonderCon 2019 with Mark Hamill voicing the terrifying doll. You can read Kyle Malone’s article here about it.
Additionally, they showed the new sizzle trailer and an exclusive scene from the film to the attendees of the convention. The scene was with Karen (Aubrey Plaza) arguing with her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) over on whether Chucky can be alive. Andy then takes someone’s cell phone out as proof of being one of Chucky’s victims. In disbelief, Karen storms out of the apartment to look for that person.
The film also stars Brian Tyree Henry and Tim Matheson. It’s directed by Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) and written by Tyler Burton Smith (Quantum Break).
Child’s Play is a reboot with the same plot of a mother giving her son a toy doll for his birthday, unknowingly the sinister nature.
LRM Online caught up with Plaza, Bateman, Klevberg and Smith on the red carpet after their panel presentation at the WonderCon crowd.
Child’s Play will be released on June 21.
