WonderCon – Child’s Play: Mark Hamill Announces He’s The Voice Of Chucky [VIDEO]

Horror remakes and pseudo-sequels are all the rave now. The success of IT in 2017 and 2018’s Halloween have ensured Hollywood will be pulling every dead rabbit out of every old hat. This could be both good and bad. It’s good if you get quality movies. It’s bad if the movies suck as that can turn the industry off of horror all over again. Which brings us to the upcoming remake of the classic, Child’s Play.

The original film saw a young boy’s Good Guy doll become possessed by a crazed serial killer who went on a murderous rampage, eventually, got married, and even had a kid. Yeah, they went that far with the series. This reboot or remake or re-whatever we’re getting will take a different path and give us a robotic doll with artificial intelligence gone wrong. So who should voice this crazed robotic killer?

Yup! Mark “Luke Skywalker” Hamill himself will be using his voice acting skills to scare the crap out of us. This won’t be the hardest thing in the world as he is known for being a very creepy Joker, which he voiced for Batman: The Animated Series. Hamill’s voice acting skills cover the gamut of characters as does his live-action appearances. He is very well capable of being a bad guy. When the premise of this movie was first announced, I had written it off, but I must say I am intrigued by what Hamill will bring to the movie! May the Forces of Evil Be With Him!

What do you think of this announcement? Are you more or less excited about this movie now? Let us know in the comments below!
