Chris Hemsworth Contemplates Thor’s End In The MCU

Chris Hemsworth contemplates Thor's end in the MCU

He could probably play the character for another decade, however Chris Hemsworth contemplates Thor’s end in the MCU. In a recent interview Hemsworth ponders whether Thor should get a final moment like many of the other OG Avengers characters? However, it should be pointed out that Hemsworth isn’t talking about any plans at Marvel as such, just his own thoughts on what might happen next? Here is what Hemsworth said when he spoke to Vanity Fair about a whole slew of subjects recently. Hemsworth was asked if there was more Thor coming as it was teased at the end of Love and Thunder?

“Yeah, I think they always do. Look, I’m completely open to it, if there is something unique and fresh and unexpected to do with the character and the world. I’ve always loved the experience. I’ve been very thankful I’ve been able to do something different each time.”

Asked then whether he wanted a climax for Thor, like Evans, Johansson and RDJ were given?

“Yeah, for sure. I feel like we’d probably have to close the book if I ever did it again, you know what I mean? I feel like it probably warrants that, like it’d probably be the finale, but that’s not based on anything anyone’s told me or any sort of plans. You have this birth of a hero, the journey of a hero, then the death of a hero, and I don’t know—am I at that stage? Who knows?”

I guess there are a lot of factors. It may be Marvel Studios wants Hemsworth in the likes of The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. One of these movies could see the end of Thor, or it could depend if there are ideas for another solo outing for the God of Thunder? The point is, I think this is the first time I’ve heard Hemsworth actually reference an end point. Ergo, it begs the question, how should Thor end? Should Thor be killed off in some heroic sacrifice like Iron Man? What could even kill Thor at this point? Or, should the character get to retire like Evan’s Captain America? Will Love end up taking over the mantle of Thor eventually? After all, the character is probably even more powerful than Thor is.

As always, lets us know what you think below as Chris Hemsworth contemplates Thor’s end in the MCU? What would you like to see happen with Thor?
