Chris Pratt Confirms Guardians Of The Galaxy 3’s Production Date

It’s no secret that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is on its way. Director James Gunn has been pretty upfront about it almost since the second film hit last year. Of course, the way things ended up in Avengers: Infinity War put it into question as to who will be involved in this Marvel Studios threequel.

Gunn has stated in the past that 2020 is when we can expect the film, and with that in mind, it seemed a solid bet that early 2019 would be when audiences could expect the thing to shoot. Speaking with MTV, star Chris Pratt confirmed this, saying:

“I’m slated to film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in January, so we don’t know yet, time-wise, where that lines up. I’m hoping it’s not the last time you’ll see me [in the Marvel Cinematic Universe], but I can’t be sure.”

Of course, the mindset that “I don’t know if I’ll be back” is a solid one to have. As the stories continue in these films, it seems like Marvel Studios is becoming more and more willing to kill off important characters and challenge the status quo. Gunn himself has said on multiple occasions that it’s not like the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics have a consistent team lineup.

But that’s a question for another. Day. Are you excited to hear more about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? Let us know your thoughts down below!
