Any of you remember a movie from the late 90s called The Saint? The film starred Val Kilmer is the lead role and according to Deadline, the star of  Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris Pratt is in early talks for the role.

I haven’t seen the film in years but I remember the character being sort of a master of disguise and a bit of a swindler. The character of Simon Templar dates back to the 1920s from a series of novels written by Leslie Charteris. He finally made his way to the big screen in the 1997 film The Saint, the film which featured Kilmer as the star.

Personally, I am down to watch Pratt in almost anything, however, he may not be the right person for the role. I am not saying he couldn’t pull it off,  I am just saying I think his talents could be better utilized by taking on other characters. Having said that this is a property I wish to see brought back in the fold, and if Pratt is chosen, I say we give him the benefit of the doubt.
