Christian Bale Is Gorr The God Butcher In Thor: Love and Thunder

After months of speculating who Christian Bale is playing in Thor: Love and Thunder, it’s now been confirmed he will be playing Gorr the God Butcher. A relatively new addition to the Marvel family making his first appearance in 2012.

Now add in that Taika Waititi and all his talents will be guiding things from behind the camera. What you get is a fantastic mix of character, vision, and acting. This combination will more than likely give moviegoers something truly special. Waititi gave Thor a whole new attitude and made him fun in Ragnarok. And I feel that vibe will carry over to Love and Thunder. However, it will be interesting to see how that will mix with what is shaping up to be a darker film, considering the nature of the character Gorr.

Bale should be Marvelous

It’s nice to finally have Bale in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially as a villain. One that has a seriously twisted backstory with which an actor like Bale should really be able to do wonders with his performance. And honestly, I can’t wait to see him do it. Gorr has had, to put it lightly, what some would call a rough life up to this point. Born on a nameless planet with awful living conditions he lost his wife and children to tragedy and then was exiled from the planet. And then his life takes an even darker turn.

Natalie Portman will return to the franchise to take up the mantle of Mighty Thor in the film,. But that doesn’t mean Chris Hemsworth’s time in the MCU is over. It’s just not clear where his journey will take him next.
