CinemaCon 2016: ‘MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6’ Set to Start Production in the Fall

Tom Cruise may be in London, but he certainly still made a lasting impression at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

The 53-year-old action star via pre-recorded message promised that there will be more stunts, incredible set pieces and action for the next chapter with MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6. He is currently writing the story with Christopher McQuarrie for another adventure for Ethan Hunt.

The film will begin its production in the fall this year.

Last year, Cruise made a very strong impression at CinemaCon by introducing the behind-the-scenes cut for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION.

For the rest of the taped appearance, he introduced the con-goers with an action-packed preview of the upcoming JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK. The preview opened up with a local sheriff arresting Jack Reacher at a local diner after he beaten several thugs. It continued with Reacher partnering with a military officer (Cobie Smulders) and forced her to break the rules to investigate some unknown diabolical crime.

JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK will be in theaters on October 21st.
