Clip From Robin Wright’s Directorial Debut Land

Land is Robin Wright’s directorial debut

As Sundance Film Festival starts today, one of the films already getting a lot of buzz is Robin Wright’s directorial debut with Land.

Land is a poignant story of one woman’s search for meaning in the vast and harsh American wilderness. Edee, in the aftermath of an unfathomable event, finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she once knew and in the face of that uncertainty, retreats to the magnificent, but unforgiving, wilds of the Rockies. After a local hunter brings her back from the brink of death, she must find a way to live again.

The film stars Robin Wright as Edee, along with Demian Bichir and Kim Dickens. Jesse Chatham and Erin Dignam wrote the script.

In a clip released by Focus Features, Demian Bichir and Robin Wright have a conversation living in solitude in the mountains over a campfire meal.

Land makes its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 31. Then Focus Features releases Land in theaters on February 12.
