AMC’s The Walking Dead was one of the many series affected by the current world situation. Its season finale episode was supposed to air back in April, but because of the closures, it has been pushed back to October 4th. Today via their Comic-Con@Home panel, we got an extended clip of the season 10 finale titled, A Certain Doom. You can check it out above!

As you can see by the footage, it seems like we are going to get the return of Lauren Cohan’s Maggie, who we last saw in the ninth season. We will have to wait until October to see how everyone deals with the massive hoards of walkers that have been herded toward them.

With that, there is also some bad news. During the panel, showrunner Angela Kang announced that they will not be debuting season 11 this October as is custom for The Walking Dead. But they will be extending season 10 with six extra episodes that they are looking to debut in early 2021. This will be the first time in a decade that the series’ return has been delayed. Also, it’s interesting to note that the extra six episodes will bring the 10th season to a record 22 episodes.

But fear not that does not mean there won’t be any walkers this fall. In place of The Walking Dead, AMC will feature Fear the Walking Dead on October 11th. This season cast member Lennie James will be making his directorial debut. His fellow cast member Colman Domingo will be directing his third. It will be interesting how they decide to safely resume working on the series. Especially noting that they have so many extras that are on the set working as walkers. Will that still be possible? Maybe they can digitally add zombies to avoid too many people next to each other.
