Cobra Kai has badass Nielsen stats.
As most of you already know, Cobra Kai is about being badass. So, it’s only fitting that it’s starting figures on Netflix are badass. Seriously, they are quite a sight to behold, especially for a show that’s been around for years on YouTube Premium. According to Yahoo!, Cobra Kai is the No. 2 series on Nielsen’s Top SVOD rankings for the week of August 24! But this doesn’t even take into account that it only includes three days of it being available.
Cobra Kai’s more specific numbers are even more badass than its ranking. For those three days, it took in 1.4 billion minutes. For reference, the show itself is only 577 minutes in length between its two seasons. This means the watch time — in three days — was the equivalent of over 2.4 million viewers watching both seasons in their entirety. That’s right, I did the math.

Sadly, they came second to Lucifer, but as I said before, this only accounted for a few days with Cobra Kai being on the service. And in the time since then, I couldn’t help but notice all the buzz surrounding the show. While It’s always had a great reception from fans, the show’s release on Netflix has only amplified the positive vibes I was already seeing online.
Needless to say, Cobra Kai is having an auspicious start on Netflix. Let’s just hope it can continue this momentum when Season 3 launches in 2021. How do you feel about Cobra Kai getting amazing Nielsen stats for its first three days? Let us know your thoughts down below!
