Cobra Kai is a masterclass in the continuation of a beloved franchise done right. The hit series has moved up the premiere of its highly-anticipated third season from January 8 to January 1. The series follows the characters of Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, and Sensei John Kreese, from the classic 80s film, The Karate Kid.

The series began as a YouTube original (by far the best content to come from the platform) but has since been acquired by streaming giant Netflix.
The series shows both Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso in very different lights. It turns out Johnny isn’t 100% a**hole, and Daniel isn’t 100% good guy (I always thought Daniel was kind of pushy), who would have thought?. It seems many have fans even shifted their loyalty to the side of Johnny Lawrence. I am one of them. This is due to, at least partly, to how the dynamic of the two characters has switched. Johnny Lawrence is now the underdog, with Daniel being wildly successful, not in karate, but life in general
With the events that took place at the end of Season 2, the tension is riding high all-around. What I am most interested in is seeing Daniel and Johnny have to put their differences aside and team-up against Sensei John Kreese.
