The Russos took on a massive task by agreeing to film Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame back-to-back. The resulting double shoot meant that they were filming scenes for two movies at the same time.
This double filming actually caused one cameo actress to believe her part had been cut from Infinity War, only to find herself in Endgame when she watched it. Sourced from CinemaBlend, Community actress Yvette Nicole Brown said she thought her part had been cut, only to see herself in Endgame. Brown, you will remember from the elevator scene back in the ’70s where she questioned who Steve Rogers and Tony Stark were. The actress was delighted when watching the movie and the elevator scene appeared.
“I’m sitting there with a group in my seat like ‘This is going to be it. Oh my God, it’s an elevator! It’s me!’ I’m just sitting there, biting the inside of my jaw. I was so freaking excited, I can’t even tell you. So frigging excited! My friends were, too. […] I kept that secret for two years. That NDA was iron-clad. I really needed my left foot, so I never told anybody. I didn’t even come to the [Avengers: Endgame] premiere. I didn’t know I was in it! I could’ve come!”
Whereas when she saw Infinity War and didn’t find her scene in it she thought,
“I just said, ‘Well, it was nice. It’s the thought that counts.’ And I forgot about it.”
So not only did Brown get a nice surprise, she now knows she has a speaking part in the biggest movie of all time. That’s pretty cool, right?
Brown isn’t the only Community star to appear in the MCU after being invited in by the Russo’s who of course directed some episodes of Community, see if you can name the others in the usual spot below?
