So who is Corey Stoll’s rumored role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? The Barside Buzz has been out in force over this weekend talking about the role Stoll is rumored to take going forward. The new sources for this rumor come from both Daniel Richtman (original origin of rumor in December) on his Patreon service, and now the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers subreddit.

I’ll point out now, if you go looking at either link then you will find a lot more potential plot details about this movie than I am sharing here. So beware! Equally on the subreddit there are potential spoilers for many Marvel shows and movies on that thread.

We don’t go in for full plot spoilers. That’s where we are currently I think with both Quantumania and Wakanda Forever. What I will reveal is that the character Stoll is rumored to become is pretty major as Marvel goes. Therefore obligatory SPOILER warning ahead.

Still with me? Ok, so the scuttlebutt has really picked up now that Corey Stoll is back in a new guise. Specifically that Stoll becomes the MCU’s MODOK!

I’m sure if you are a fan of Marvel comics in any way I need not explain who MODOK is? In fact there was a (now cancelled) animated series on Hulu not that long ago starring Patton Oswalt.

The last we saw of Darren Cross it seemed he had perished along with his Yellowjacket suit. Of course, as fans have been discussing ever since the news Stoll was back, what if he simply got trapped in the Quantum Realm? With a name like Quantumania it seems very clear where much of this threequel will take place. You’ll see in the related section below, that this rumor first began back in December. However it now appears almost guaranteed to be correct.

We also know that Jonathan Majors will play Kang in the movie. The gist, without getting too deep into SPOILERS, will be that MODOK is working with Kang when he appears again.

This is not fact, as with all Barside Buzz. However, I have a feeling this one is legit. There were early rumors, backed up at thew time. Now those rumors seems to be getting backed up by all those in the know.
