Could Keanu Reeves end up playing Moon Knight?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around long enough that consistent rumors will eventually end up being true. There were consistent rumors, speculation, and desire to see Moon Knight enter this universe. It was only several months back that Marvel Studios made a lot of dreamers happening. While we wouldn’t be seeing a live-action Moon Knight film, we would be getting a live-action Moon Knight Disney+ series, which is still pretty solid. 

In addition to random character speculation, there’s always been actor speculation. One actor that consistently rose to the top was John Wick’s Keanu Reeves. Fans have been wanting to see him in some sort of role over the years. What’s more is that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige even once stated that they’d been in consistent talks with Reeves, but that things just haven’t panned out yet. Yet.

One new rumor indicates that he may be a ringer for Marc Spector. The rumor came from The Geeks Worldwide editor-in-chief. Replying to a user who said Reeves should take on Moon Knight, Walsh said:

Now, it’s worth keeping in mind that this is not an official rumor from the outlet. It’s just something they heard, and furthermore, it’s not even anything official. It’s just some guy high up who has some interest. However, given how long we know they’ve been talking about Reeves, this could be the perfect kind of role for him…maybe.

While Reeves may be able to pull up the darker aspects of the character, but what about the nuance? Maybe not. John Wick was kind of the perfect character for Reeves in many different ways. He featured a stoicism and physical prowess that matched Reeves’ skill set. Will that same kind of approach work for the likes of a Moon Knight series? I suppose you never know until it’s tried out, right?

Either way, take this with a grain of salt. But it is something someone at Marvel Studios is likely at least thinking about. So, it’s fun to think about nonetheless. How would you feel about Keanu Reeves taking on Moon Knight? Let us know down below!
