Covid-19 has turned the entertainment industry upside down.

However, filmmakers are still creative than ever to provide entertainment to those in lockdown somehow.

In the ambitious anthology project Covid19…Sins & Virtues, more than 50 filmmakers creatively wrote and filmed fourteen stories about the seven sins and seven virtues. Each of the filmmakers only had weeks to come up with the script and to develop their assigned short film. Each film is approximately three to twelve minutes in length.

The rules are simple for the filmmakers. The filmmakers must produce a film based on the assigned sin or virtue. They must use video equipment at their disposal that includes phones, tablets, and laptops. Finally, they use the pandemic as a backdrop.

The anthology is the brainchild of entertainment executive Alex Mendoza. It is being produced alongside with Yeniffer Behrens (The Way Back) and Mauricio Mendoza (Resurrection Blvd.) of True For Films. All principal photography has been completed since May 15. A release date has not been announced for the film at this time.
