Cowboy Bebop Production Starts With Behind-The-Scenes Video Featuring Ein The Corgi!

Oh, s**t! It’s actually happening. I really can’t believe it, but Cowboy Bebop, one of the most influential anime series from the late-90s and early 2000s is getting a live-action adaptation. Like the infamous and forever-in-development Crow remake, Cowboy Bebop is a franchise that feels like it’s always been in development in some way as a live-action property (with Keanu Reeves even expressing plenty of interest in playing the role of Spike Spiegel).

Ultimately, for the Netflix series, the role went to John Cho of Harold and Kumar fame. We learned about all the casting choices several months back, and it looks like the show has been making some really headway, as it’s now…in production!

In the video, we get to see the cute little devil who is set to play Ein the dog, a fan-favorite of the show because, duh, he’s a damn dog. Fans of the series will at least be happy to know they kept that aspect of it. Anyway, the dog heads into a production room, where the cast is hanging out.

In addition to John Cho, we see Daniella Pineda (Faye Valentine), Alex Hassell (Vicious), and Mustafar Shakir (Jet Black). All in all, it’s a cute vid that reveals nothing, but I’m still on board.
