Marvel’s Eternals will release on Nov. 6, 2020, and we already know it has an impressive ensemble cast in the likes of Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, and Kumail Nanjiani.
However, according to a report from Variety, there is another cast addition coming to Eternals in Crazy Rich Asians star Gemma Chan. The trade claims that sources have informed them that the actress in talks for a role in Eternals. Interestingly Chan has already appeared in the MCU recently as Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel, but the trade’s sources say that she is up for a completely different role in Eternals, which would be something of a first for the MCU, especially in such a short time since Captain Marvel released.
Perhaps those at Marvel were so impressed with her work on Captain Marvel that they wanted to give her a bigger recurring role? However, the cynical side of me just sees this as cashing in on the success of Crazy Rich Asians, which probably didn’t affect her casting in Captain Marvel. Marvel Studios, as you’d imagine, declined to comment when asked about this news.

I literally have no idea what to expect when Eternals arrives in the MCU, but I am damn interested to see how it all comes together. The start of a new era that will begin with Black Widow in 2020 and end who knows where and when?
