Creed 2 Has Cast Ivan Drago’s Son

Ever since we learned that Creed 2 would be bringing back Dolph Lundgren as the iconic Russian boxer, Ivan Drago, there has been one key question: Who would be playing his son? With Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed being the son of Apollo Creed, it’s only fitting that he’d somehow go head to head with Drago’s own offspring, making this a multi-generational feud.

Not too long after the hiring of Steven Caple Jr. as director, the production has locked down Drago’s Son. According to The Tracking Board, Romanian boxer Florian Munteanu will be playing the character. Unfortunately, there is nothing known about the character, and while Munteanu has acted in a short titled “Bogat,” there’s not nearly enough for us to gauge whether or not he’s actually a good actor.

If nothing else, he is certainly ripped, which will be helpful, but that isn’t exactly the most important aspect. Below is his post on Instagram following the casting reveal.

Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren are set to return in the roles of Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago respectively. Also returning to the titular role of Adonis Creed is Michael B. Jordan. The film is being shot from a script by Sylvester Stallone and Luke Cage’s Cheo Hodari Coker. Production is set to begin this March in hopes of hitting the ambitious release date of November 21, 2018.
