The year 2019 will be the year of the clowns.

With It Chapter 2, Joker, and a few other horror films, the clowns have invaded the small and big screens across America.

In the indie horror film Crepitus, it’s another film about a killer clown. Clowns are just frightening.

The film stars Bill Moseley (Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Devil’s Rejects), Chalet Brannan (Tinker’, Vengeance), Eve Mauro (The Oath, Age of the Living Dead), Caitlin Williams, Lance Paul (Larry Crowne), Darren Barcomb (Krampus: The Devil Returns) and Johnny Stevenson (Bridge of the Doomed). Crepitus is directed by Haynze Whitmore (Asylum of Secrets: Chapter 1) and written by Eddie and Sarah Renner.

Here’s the short synopsis:

Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth and her younger sister Sam are thrust into circumstances more terrifying than life with their abusive, drunken mother when they are forced to move into their deceased grandfather’s house. Frightened beyond belief, they learn horrible things about their family history. Never mind the ghosts in the house, there is something far worse than takes an interest in them…..a cannibalistic clown named Crepitus.

LRM Online was covering the red carpet premiere of Crepitus in Hollywood with the cast and guests.
