Crunchyroll’s Spring Slate Is STACKED!

Get ready for Crunchyroll’s biggest Spring season! So many great anime to choose from and I for one am really excited. I’ve watched most of what I’ve been enjoying or I’m about to be finished and I feel empty inside. I’ve picked a few that I’m excited about along with the entire Crunchyroll Spring Slate listed below.

April 1-

Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It

Basking in the sun’s rays, Himuro and Yukimura embrace and share a tender kiss. But was it perfect? Rushing back to the lab for the results, they meet the seductive Fujiwara and her handsome partner, Chris, who’ve performed passionate analysis in love’s pursuit. But is this new couple competition, or can they reveal some insight into their studies? One thing is for sure—more research is needed!

This guy made a spreadsheet on whether or not he loves her… He pulled a Ross Gellar! At least he didn’t put down she had chubby ankles. Joking aside, I thought this looked interesting. Studying love? Hmm.

April 9-

Spy X Family

World peace is as stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!

How dare you kidnap someone so adorable! I can’t wait to see it. The Anime-Versal Reviews Podcast already has plans to cover this anime. We’re currently reviewing Sabikui Bisco. Check it out here.

Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie

The ultimate “heartthrob girlfriend” appears! Naturally unlucky high school student Izumi’s girlfriend is his classmate Shikimori. She’s a pretty, cute, and loving girlfriend, but when Izumi’s in trouble… she transforms into a super cool “heartthrob girlfriend.”

After watching this trailer, I couldn’t help but think of Horimiya when Hori wants to be smacked around a little every once in a while. Shikimori had this strange vibe to her in the trailer that had me asking, is it a reversal and she’s the dom? Maybe that’s just in my head. It would be cool to see though.
