Peter Dinklage in Cyrano

Peter Dinklage is one of the best working actors, who can show off their range and talents across many genres. With the musical Cyrano, there is no roles that this veteran thespian cannot undertake.

The film also stars Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Ben Mendelsohn.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Award-winning director Joe Wright envelops moviegoers in a symphony of emotions with music, romance, and beauty in Cyrano, re-imagining the timeless tale of a heartbreaking love triangle. A man ahead of his time, Cyrano de Bergerac (Peter Dinklage) dazzles whether with ferocious wordplay at a verbal joust or with brilliant swordplay in a duel. But, convinced that his appearance renders him unworthy of the love of a devoted friend, the luminous Roxanne (Haley Bennett), Cyrano has yet to declare his feelings for her—and Roxanne has fallen in love, at first sight, with Christian (Kelvin Harrison Jr.).

Joe Wright directed the movie from the screenplay written by Erica Schmidt. The film is based on the stage musical adapted and directed by Schmidt, from Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, with music by Aaron & Bryce Dessner and lyrics by Matt Berninger & Carin Besser.

Audiences knew Peter Dinklage is a great actor for portraying Tyrion Lannister on the HBO series Game of Thrones for many years. Along with two more tremendous actors of Haley Bennett and Kelvin Harrison Jr., audiences who love romantic stories will fall hard for this adapted musical. Plus, it doesn’t hurt to have award-winning director Joe Wright of Darkest Hour and Pride & Prejudice at the helm.

Cyrano will be in select theaters at the end of the year on Friday, December 31.
