Dafoe’s Green Goblin To Be The Main Villain Of Spider-Man: No Way Home | Barside Buzz

His casting may not even be official yet, but there are more than a few rumors that Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin will be the main villain in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Check out the post from ViewerAnon below.

Now this is hardly a smoking gun, but this is one of many such little rumors I have heard around Gobby being the main villain. There are even plot summaries floating around online, though as usual you can’t tell which one is real or not. Apparently one of those floating around is close to what some other insiders have heard, without identifying which.

The general consensus though appears to be that it is Dafoe’s Norman Osborn who is pulling in bad guys from the Multiverse. Other suggestions could indicate that Osborn creates a Sinister Six, consisting of Doc Ock, Electro, Vulture, Mysterio, Scorpion, and Goblin himself. Though, that roster also changes in some of those supposed plot leaks so you get the idea this is hardly an exact science at this point.

I have also heard that this version of Goblin will be from another Universe, but not the Sam Raimi one. As for Garfield and Maguire? The rumors range from Doctor Strange recruiting them to aid Peter in his fight, or them being pulled in along with their villains from different realities. Again, this is all unverified, random, anonymous plot leaks, so none of this may end up being legit. In my experience though, when several turn up like this, one of them is always right. It’s just we rarely know which one until the movie releases?

I’ll be shocked if Willem Dafoe is not back as Green Goblin for No Way Home at this point, though even that remains a rumor. What do you think? How would you feel about Dafoe’s Green Goblin being the main villain of Spider-Man: No Way Home?
