Well, Dane DeHaan is not in Spider-Man 3 according to a very good source, himself. There has been a ton of rumors regarding various returning Sony characters in the MCU’s Spider-Man 3. One of which was Dane DeHaan, aka Harry Osborn. Unless DeHann’s deliberately lying of course, though there is no reason to think he is.
Could be just be lying? How many other actors have denied they are in something because they have been told not to? As said above, it’s possible, however in my opinion, it’s unlikely. Occam’s Razor time folks, the most simple explanation is that DeHaan is telling the truth and is not in Spider-Man 3. In a recent interview with Radio Times, DeHaan said there was “no truth” to the rumors of his return.

The rumors around Spider-Man 3 have been so unbelievable it has been hard to keep track of what is real and what is manufactured. If you had told me a year ago that Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx would be back as Dock Ock and Electro then I’d have laughed. Yet, both actors and characters are already confirmed for Spider-Man 3. The rumors don’t stop with those two though. There have been reports that previous Spider-Man actors such as Garfield, Maguire, Dunst, Dafoe, Stone, Church, and yes, even DeHaan were also returning.

I personally expect some of those to be correct and some to be wrong. Right now I cannot tell you which is which. However, I think we can make an educated guess, that DeHann is not in Spider-Man 3, or it’s at least unlikely. There have also been some (unsubstantiated) rumors that Marvel will film Spider-Man 4 straight after Spider-Man 3, and therefore some characters could be saved for that movie. I personally can find no reason to give that theory much time. If something more substantial, with an actual source says Spider-Man 4 is a go, I may change my mind? Until that happens, I don’t buy those rumors.
So Dane DeHaan is not in Spider-Man 3, so he says. Right now I can think of no reason not to believe him, can you? Leave your thoughts below as always.
