Danny Devito has been in Hollywood for half a century. Bouncing back and forth from film to television, DeVito has found himself part of major Hollywood productions such as last year’s Dumbo and Jumanji: The Next Level. Another major blockbuster DeVito lent his talents to was Batman Returns, playing one of Batman’s arch enemies, The Penguin.
With the news of the original big-screen Batman, Michael Keaton, potentially reprising his role in the upcoming Flash movie, Devito was asked his thoughts on the matter. You can check out what he had to say below while speaking with ComicBook.com below.
“I think it’s great. I think it’s a great series and I think it’s a wonderful story and it’s a lot of fun and a lot of energy and I loved Oswald Cobblepot, and I love Tim Burton. We’ve done four or five movies together. I can’t wait for him to come up with the next one, whatever we’re gonna do together.”
Hmm, never really thought about how many collaborations he and Burton have done together. Who knows what DC will do in future films, perhaps DeVito’s Penguin will someday return.
Along with bring is very big and expensive blockbusters, Danny Devito has been part of highly regarded films such as One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, and for the last decade and a half has been essential to what is arguably the greatest sitcom of all-time (easy Seinfeld and Arrested Development fans, I’m right there with you on both of them).
