After the role was initially recast, Ayelet Zurer returns as Vanessa in Daredevil: Born Again after all, plus we have a Deadpool & Wolverine rumor. As we know, during the actors and writers strikes Marvel took a look at Born Again and decided to make changes. The depth of these changes may never fully be known. However we do know after initially not appearing both Foggy and Karen were brought back. Maybe so was Bullseye? However, it’s not clear if Wilson Bethel was in it already?

Now we also know the role of Vanessa, loving wife of Wilson Fisk, has returned back to Ayelet Zurer.

Sandrine Holt had initially gotten the recast role. At the time we initially shared this casting news I recall the word being that Zurer was scheduled elsewhere. This is perhaps a fortunate by-product of the strikes that allows Zurer to come back in. Shame for Holt, but I imagine she gets a pay check of some kind as she had already filmed scenes. Ultimately, this is another step towards canonising the Netflix Daredevil series. Something Disney has seemed really keen to do as part of this rejigged show.

Honestly, I am lobing all the connective tissue going into Daredevil: Born Again. The show has all the same characters as the Netflix series. Therefore, it absolutley should be a continuation. Vanessa was in my opinion far too important chemistry wise with D’Onofrio to recast. However, I understand the business sometimes throws up these hurdles. I’m just glad Zurer is back as, like said above, her chemistry with D’Onofrio was superb in Daredevil.

Let’s hope that Born Again now just feels like a direct continuation of Daredevil Season 3. Or at least it’s as seamless as it can be, whilst telling the new story.

Finally we have a new Deadpool & Wolverine rumor from CWGST subscriber service, The leaker claims that Deadpool will have someone in the TVA make him a new suit. However, not only that, but the TVA will have his Katana’s remade with Adamantium to ‘level the playing field’. Not a massive rumor folks, which is why I connected it in here rather than a separate article.
