Today we share some Barside Buzz taking the form of a Daredevil: Born Again characters and cast update. Specifically two members of cast have seemingly had their character in the show revealed. One of them my be slightly surprising, as it does not follow other rumors and one seems like it could work, but it’s new.
The information all comes from insider CWGST. Let’s start with Michael Gandolfini.
Michael Gandolfini will be portraying Daniel Blade in #DaredevilBornAgain.
Daniel is Mayor Fisk’s Director of Communications. Whether that’s ALL he is to the Kingpin remains to be seen… 👀

The eyes and tease at the end are perhaps to stave off rejections from other scoopers. It has been claimed in the past that Gandolfini will play the son of Wilson Fisk in this show. Whether that is the case or not remains to be seen. Perhaps once filming picks back up this will become clearer?
The second piece of Buzz says a Daredevil (Netflix) character who died will be referenced through his niece.

Interesting and it remains unknown just how closely the .canon/ of the Netflix Daredevil will be stuck to. Is this a reboot or a continuation, or neither?

Daredevil: Born Again is one of the Marvel productions, like Deadpool 3 which had to shut down once the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes kicked in. The series will be 18 episodes long, however we have heard it will be split into a Part 1 and Part 2 of 9 episodes each on the Buzz.
I guess this show is still one I’m kinda keeping an eye on. Recent Marvel output, outside 1-2 projects, has left me less than impressed, (also true for Star Wars outside Andor). However, I did thoroughly enjoy all 3 seasons of Daredevil on Netflix so, this could be good. Or, it could get Disney’d up and end up something far duller than it used to be. I guess we will find out?
