According to the ever reliable Production Weekly, Daredevil: Born Again is set to film in May 2023. Unless you were following the pre-SDCC trademarks then Daredevil: Born Again will have come as a complete surprise when it was announced at the Marvel SDCC presentation. Whilst no solid date was set for the show to premiere (standard this far out), we did get a release window of Spring ’24. Daredevil: Born Again is sandwiched between Disney+ show Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Winter 23/24) and the Captain America: New World Order movie, which has been dated currently for May 3rd, 2024.
As we know, movie dates have to be planned further in advance than Disney+ shows. That’s why we have specific dates for even unnamed movies right through to Phase 6 of the MCU and almost none outside of the next one up when it comes to Disney+ shows. With all that being said, can we guarantee that Daredevil: Born Again starts filming by May next year? Or that it’s 100% ready for April time 2024? Nope, PW just reports what’s booked. However schedules can, and do, change for all these big productions. As said above, Disney+ shows are easier to move around than the movies themselves.

The image above shows the full announced slate for Phase 5 and Phase 6 of the MCU. There are gaps, however we expect some of those gaps could be filled at D23 this year. Neither of the one-off Specials are listed. Yet, we know that a Halloween Special featuring Werewolf by Night and the Guardians Holiday Special are both set to hit Disney+ this year around their respective seasons. There’s also no Armor Wars listed, yet we know that show is still coming as per the showrunner, post SDCC.
We know that Daredevil and Kingpin will next show up in the Echo Disney+ show. However before that we will see Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in some episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. That show had its premiere date changed to August 19th. Not only that, but given what we saw in the She-Hulk trailer, we will also be getting a suited up Daredevil for the first time since Daredevil was cancelled on Netflix post-Season 3.
Whether it’s now all from another Multiverse or not, the Daredevil show remains one of the best things to happen to the MCU. Marvel Studios knows this, and that’s why Daredevil and gang are back. I just hope Marvel Studios pulls off as good a job. Daredevil: Born Again was announced as being a long-azz 18 episode Season. I cannot wait for this to hit screens in 2024.
