Dark Phoenix Motion Poster And ‘Standoff Clip Hit: The Phoenix Will Rise

Well, I know I am in the minority here because I am somewhat curious to see what Dark Phoenix has to offer.  Maybe if I go in with low expectations it won’t be that bad, right…? Even though many of you are not looking forward to the next installment in the franchise, a pretty cool motion poster was released on Twitter, which you can check out below:

The motion poster is pretty cool, showing the transition from the beloved Jean Grey to destructive Dark Phoenix.  I highly doubt it is enough for many of you to jump back on board with the film though.

But that’s not all. 20th Century Fox also released a clip from the film which shows the standoff between Magneto and Professor X (Yes, again). Of interest is that Beast looks to be on Magneto’s side for once in what looks to be his mission to kill Jean Grey.

What do you think of the poster and clip?  If you are checking out the film, what are you hoping to see?  If you definitely aren’t seeing the film, what are your reasons for giving up on the franchise?  Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!

Dark Phoenix hits theaters June 7.
