Dark Phoenix’s Rotten Tomatoes Score Is In…And It Isn’t Good…

Oh geez, Dark Phoenix‘s Rotten Tomatoes score is back, and if the ellipsis points didn’t emphasize how bad it actually is, then I don’t know what will.  While many critics have said the film is “meh” the Rotten Tomatoes score indicates much, much worse.  While many have predicted that the film will follow in the likes of X-Men: Apocalypse, the score shows that it may be worse with a whopping 19%… Alright, to put this in perspective Batman and Robin earned an 11% and we all know how much of a train wreck that was.

Granted, the count is currently only at 66, which will more than likely go up, but probably not by much.  X-Men: The Last Stand earned a 58%, so what is the issue with trying to bring one of the most iconic comic storylines to the big screen?  A story that deserves an awesome interpretation just can’t seem to work thus far.

I had held out the slightest of hope that the film would be alright, but I do have to say that if I go by the Rotten Tomatoes ratings, I shouldn’t hold my breath.

So, do you think the percentage will increase at all?  Are you planning on seeing the film, or did you decide a long time ago to give it a pass. If you were in charge, what would you do in order to make a successful Dark Phoenix film? Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!
