When it rains it pours. Stephen King’s DARK TOWER series has been in development for roughly 156 years, and while it’s had its fair share of false starts, things are finally getting underway. With Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba locked down, and production already going, it’s time for the rest of the cast (or at least news of the cast) to hop on board.

According to THR, VIKINGS actress Katheryn Winnick has joined THE DARK TOWER. In addition to McConaughey and Elba, Winnick will be joining Abbey Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, Fran Kranz, and Tom Taylor. The movie is filming as we speak, and fans are undoubtedly dying to see what director Nikolaj Arcel’s vision will look like.

And speaking of production, it looks like we have our first photos from the set of the film, which come courtesy of Instagram users Chad Waller, Sonia Couto, @jostuarfox, and Francois Grobbelaar.
