Milly Alcock has been confirmed for Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow. We have a set video from The Batman Part II and a new writer for Lanterns Season 2. Plus a little more in our roundup of all the DC film and TV news over this past week.

Let’s begin with Milly Alcock, (as expected) being confirmed to appear in James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow by Variety. Alcock was rumored to be in the film, and it felt like a matter of time before that was confirmed.

We also have a runtime for Alcock starring Supergirl from AMC Theatres. The film is 110 minutes (1 hour, 50 minutes). Reasonably short these days for a superhero film.

Now onto Lanterns and a rumor from Jeff Sneider was that Lanterns Season 2 had a new addition to the writing staff in Chris Cantwell (Halt and Catch Fire).

Sneider claims Tom King and Damon Lindelof will remain in the show as producers, but not as writers, as they’ll be busy working on other projects while Chris Mundy will remain in the creative team as showrunner.

Now since this Chris Cantwell has confirmed he’s joined the Lanterns team on BlueSky. Lanterns Season 2 hasn’t actually been greenlit, but it’s normal for work to have begun on the story for Season 2 before that decision is made.

Finally we have a set video from The Batman: Part II. However, there is not much to see. A GCPD behicle with some fake snow on it and a punched hole through th windscreen. This was later confirmed to be cause by a stuntman pouncing on top of the vehicle, It could be a stand in for Batman but there was no costuming for the stuntman those around the scene report.
