DCEU Rumor Says Ray Fisher Out As Cyborg!

According to a new report from The Wrap, the DCEU has just lost one actor and gained another. As the title says Ray Fisher out is seemingly out of the DCEU. Umberto Gonzalez writes that the decision has been made to move on without Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. in The Flash. That means that either Cyborg will not feature in future DCEU movies, or the character will be recast.

To be honest this news is hardly surprising given all the drama surrounding Fisher and his time with the DCEU. There were fans who thought Fisher’s Cyborg would show up in The Flash, but according to the outlet, that is not the case. Umberto also says in the same article that Michael Keaton has finally signed on to appear as Bruce Wayne in The Flash. Keaton’s casting is no surprise and it seemed destined to happen for some time.

DCEU Ray Fisher out

No doubt if Fisher has been shown the door going forward, he will have some comments to make. However, for now, and knowing Umberto has good connections at DC, it seems Fisher is out. Would a recast make sense, or should the DC movies just stay away from Cyborg for a few years and then look to bring the character back another way? The Flash looks set to adapt aspects of the classic Flashpoint story, so the entire DCEU could be changed by that movie.

For now all we can say about Michael Keaton is that he will be in The Flash. However, fans do want more. Many fans are hoping that a Batman Beyond movie could come of all this. Keaton could play the aged former Batman coaching his new protégé? I’d definitely be interested to see how a Batman Beyond movie would work. We also know that Ben Affleck’s version of Batman will also appear in The Flash. so who knows where this could all go, and how many versions of Batman we end up with?

What do you think of this report which says Fisher is out the DCEU? As always leave any thoughts you have below.
