DC’s Milestone Line Creative Teams And Release Dates Revealed

Milestone

As it was revealed last year at DC FanDome, Static Shock and the rest of Milestone are returning to DC this year. This past week, DC released the Milestone Returns #0 Infinite Edition. This is an “extended cut” of the one-shot that DC had made available during DC FanDome. It will be available in print on May 25th, 2021.

In this book, fans of classic Milestone characters like Static, Icon, Rockets, and Hardware, can get their first look at what they are going to look like in the new look “Dakotaverse”. It reimagines the Big Bang. The Dakota police brutality protest gone wrong that ended up giving some of the people of Dakota superpowers.

With that great appetizer, the book also reveals some very anticipated news. The announcement of the creative teams for the digital-first Milestone titles. It will include a mix of legendary talent and new creative voices. Also revealed are the dates that these series will drop digitally. You can check them out below!

As excited as I am to see these titles finally being released, I am not a fan that they are being released as a digital-first. I think that they would have a bigger impact if people could pick these up at your local comic book shop. Especially, with how lack-luster DC has been as of late. It makes me feel like DC does not have enough faith in the property, which to me overall raises questions about their motives. Then again a lot of their overall decisions have been questionable.
