Deadpool 2: Apparently There’s An Invisible Mutant In The Trailer

Deadpool 2‘s trailer was definitely of a pretty high caliber. In my opinion, as good as the marketing for the franchise has been, this was the best standard standalone trailer for any Deadpool film we’d seen. Between the hilarious, unique jokes and off-the-wall action, it was exactly what I’d hoped to see from a sequel to the original, and that’s saying a lot.

But still, it’s a trailer that’s managed to surprise on a number of levels. We all loved seeing the Average Joe X-Force member Peter, but he wasn’t the only surprising one. The eagle-eyed folks over at ComicBook.com noticed an interesting anomaly next to Domino while they team were readying to skydive.

That wasn’t all. If you take a look at the background as they all drop on their target, we see that parachuting backpack yet again.

There is only one logical conclusion to this — that there is an invisible mutant on the team! So who will this character be? Admittedly, my X-Men knowledge is limited, but the outlet goes on to speculate that the villain Vanisher could be the one. Of course, there is more than a possibility that there will be some creative license taken with it, but after those two shots, it seems unmistakable that the film has at least one more surprise up its sleeve.
