With Deadpool 2 being the talk of the town currently, it may be easy to forget that writer Drew Goddard is hard at work on an X-Force script. Deadpool 2 director, David Leitch, recently spoke with Variety on the red carpet of the Deadpool 2 premiere and gave a small update about the film.
“They’ve been developing it for awhile, and Drew Goddard is on-board. He’s a great writer and a great filmmaker. I think they’re really trying to take these characters and expand this universe.”

While which members of the X-Force will appear in the film have not yet been confirmed, fans will get a taste of the action as Bedlam, Domino, and Shatterstar will all appear in Deadpool 2 and are likely to be included in the X-Force film.
Goddard is known for Marvel’s The Defenders as well as Daredevil and is attached to write Sinister Six. He also has a number of writing credits for shows such as Alias and LOST. Having ample experience in the world of superheroes, Goddard should do justice to the X-Force team. Ryan Reynolds has said he unsure about a third Deadpool film, and appearing in an X-Force movie would seem the way to go to continue playing the character.
