Deadpool 2: Warner Bros. Wants Their Green Lantern Ring Back, Mr. Reynolds

Lest we ever forget, Ryan Reynolds is one of the few, yet ever growing club of actors that have appeared in both Marvel and DC films  — a club that also includes his Deadpool 2 co-star Josh Brolin.

That’s right, these two actors may have been the key to Deadpool 2, but they really screwed us back in the day with Green Lantern and Jonah Hex, huh?

Though we don’t know if Warner Bros. ever asked for Brolin’s Jonah Hex hat back – though they certainly kept the scar – they do want to get their hands on Ryan Reynolds’ Power Ring. Check out the exchange between Warner Bros. and Reynolds below, straight from the Twitterverse.

Classic Ryan Reynolds response! In that, it reads like it was written by Wade Wilson himself.

The original film certainly skewered Green Lantern, and Deadpool 2  is no exception, going even harder and faster with superhero references and DC bashing.

SPOILERS for Deadpool 2!

I’m guessing it was the joke about Deadpool murdering Ryan Reynolds as he finishes reading the Green Lantern script that sent DC into Power Ring retrieval mode. Hell, I wouldn’t trust Deadpool with a Green Lantern ring anyway. You saw what he did with time travel!
