Bit of a strange Barside Buzz this one, because it kinda comes from an official source, maybe. It’s looking like Deadpool 3 is actually to be called Deadpool and Wolverine (subtitle). Where does all this come from? Well take a look at the social media post from Alex P at TCC below. I will say I heard the same details coming out of a Kevin Feige Convention appearance also. However, without actual boots on the ground I can trust implicitly, we are going by a bit of hearsay with this one. Check it out.

Feige had appeared by video at CineEurope in Barcelona and he showed an exclusive clip of the upcoming The Marvels movie. So far no details of what was in that clip has leaked, nor any footage, which is frankly unusual these days. Deadline covered the event and Feige’s appearance. However, they say he spoke about what is to come and they reference Captain America: Brave New World and Deadpool 3. No hint of a name change. Yet, before the Deadline article and before Alex P’s tweet, I was already reading comments from those claiming to be in attendance. Those comments were saying the movie was not listed as Deadpool 3, but Deadpool and Wolverine.
I’m not sure where Alex got the (subtitle)addition to this, but he does have sources, so may he reached out to someone to ask?

Given that Deadpool 3 is kind of a reboot of the character as he makes his way somehow into the MCU, I’m not against the title change. If this rumor is legit that is? It may be this feels like a Deadpool and Wolverine movie more than a threequel to the Deadpool films that came before. Certainly it’s the first time we’ve seen these two characters on screen together since the worst X-Men/Superhero movie before the modern era X-Men: Origins. Deadpool may be huge, but is he as big as Jackman’s Wolverine return? I guess I’m saying that equal billing seems fitting on this one.
Until we hear something official, this remains just a rumor. However, remember the last movie title change we shared a rumor for turned out to be 100% correct. Captain America: New World Order became Captain America: Brave New World. Since Deadpool 3 was never officially titled as such, this wouldn’t rattle many cages. I think??
