DEADPOOL Gets a Slightly Graphic Venn Diagram Poster

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted my superheroes to get neatly organized into Venn diagrams. Most importantly, I’d like to know which ones fall under the “heroes” category, and which fall under the “douchebag” category. The folks over at Fox understand my pain, and as such, they’ve put together such a diagram for their latest film, DEADPOOL, out in just under two weeks.

Take a look at the graphic below.

Unfortunately, this isn’t quite as useful as I’d hoped, as it only contains characters actually in the DEADPOOL movie, and not all superheroes. Missed opportunity there, Fox. All the same, I do appreciate the effort. And those fans who are on the more immature side (aren’t we all?), you may also notice something rather interesting about how the Venn diagram looks. Hm…

In all seriousness, this is another great ad courtesy of the geniuses in charge of marketing this film. Between the memorable trailers, viral videos, and overall tone of this campaign, I’m getting more and more excited to see DEADPOOL in the near future. The only downside to what they’re doing is that I’m expecting great things of the flick, and if it disappoints fans, it may be in for quite the backlash.

The synopsis for DEADPOOL is as follows:

“Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”

Here’s hoping that DEADPOOL can live up to the hype it’s building for itself.
