Alejandro Brugues brings together a few of the brightest Latin cinema filmmakers in Satanic Hispanics to create an anthology of five short films. Among them is Demián Rugna, Gigi Saul Guerrero, Eduardo Sánchez, Mike Mendez and Alejandro Brugués. Rugna introduces the lost soul that is brought from the other side thanks to a light formula and Sánchez brings the classic dracula story.
The Synopsis
When police raid a house in El Paso, they find it full of dead Latinos, and only one survivor. He’s known as The Traveler (Efren Ramirez, “Napoleon Dynamite”), and when they take him to the station for questioning he tells them those lands are full of magic and talks about the horrors he’s encountered in his long time on this earth, about portals to other worlds, mythical creatures, demons and the undead. Stories about Latin American legends.
The Argentinian screenwriter and director Demián Rugna studied acting. Today Rugna is known in the horror genre. We know him from The Last Gateway, You Don’t Know Who You’re Talking To and Terrified. His next film is scheduled to be released next month, When Evil Lurks.
