Details On Avengers: The Kang Dynasty – Why Loveness Was Replaced – What Will Change | Barside Buzz

Marvel article including news like new writers for Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts, Blade may be delayed and Avengers 5 will be retitled.

The Barside Buzz has details on the movie formerly called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, why Jeff Loveness was replaced and what will change now. The information comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. RPK claims he’s heard several details about the change from The Kang Dynasty to what is now simply called Avengers 5 for now.

According to what RPK has heard, Jeff Loveness was fired because of Quantumania‘s poor reception. It was nothing to do with the moving away from Kang angle as many fans had guessed. To perhaps give Loveness some credit though, from what we’ve heard his ending of the movie was very different from the one we got to see. If Kang the Conqueror had actually defeated Scott and got free (ending seen at test screenings), leaving Scott trapped then I think fans would have at least liked the movie a little more.

As for Loveness’s original vision of The Kang Dynasty? RPK says the movie had all the Multiverse Saga leads (except Thor) fighting Kang variants on Earth. Other than the presence of various Kangs, it would have been relatively grounded and not involved many multiversal elements.

According to what he has heard about Waldron’s version there are some changes afoot. Waldron’s vision is similar but involves more multiverse, and the multiversal heroes will have a bigger role in Secret Wars. Which to be fair always seemed to be the case. I guess with Waldron writing both he can add more connections though.

As for Kang? The search for a new Kang actor is still underway. He says there are names Marvel are interested in, but it will probably take a months. Finally RPK says that after the events of Secret Wars, the MCU will get a soft reboot, not a full reboot like DCEU into DCU. New MCU heroes will stay but on a new Earth now with Mutants and the Fantastic Four.

One small little final piece of gossip, RPK says Kahhori will be in live-action within the next 4 years. Kahhori was recently one of the major players in What If? Season 2 and in that show at least was defending the Multiverse alongside Captain Carter by the end.

So that’s your latest Marvel/MCU rumors folks! What do you think of these details on Avengers: The Kang Dynasty? What do you think of why Jeff Loveness was replaced and what will change now in Avengers 5? Thoughts below as always.
